The Royal Wedding
Royal Wedding Fever hit our house! Ella and I decorated the table the night before! We got out the China, Crystal, Tiaras, and High Heels...Seriously, who didn't? Ella laid in bed and kept asking, "Momma, how many minutes till the wedding starts?"
The alarm went off at 4:30AM and scones, and juice were prepared! We throughouly enjoyed our "Girl Time"!

Talking with God!!
Last week, Ella asked if she could go outside. Being that I was in the middle of some Mommy things, I just couldn't go out and watch her. After saying "no", she looks at me, tilts her head, and says, "But Momma, I just wanted to talk to Jesus!"
There is this slim chance that I was tricked into letting her go outside but I prefer to think that Ella really wanted to talk to her Creator. I stood by the screen door to listen and heard my daughter having a conversation with Jesus!! To hear a 4 year old tell God that she loves him and then begin singing a made up song, "I Love Jesus...I Love Jesus" is about enough to put this Momma on her knees and thank God for my life!

Easton turns ONE!
During the ultrasound when the technician said it was a boy Ella said, "Momma, I don't really want a boy!" (I knew how she felt!)
Well, 1 year later and I have the most precious, sweet, charming boy there is! His laugh is contagious (along with his cold he's had for 2 weeks)! He loves to be tickled and chased!
My favorite thing is to see his interaction with his sister! I watch them love all over each other and then she picks up his truck and the love is gone!!! This boy can SCREAM like no other! We definately have our work cut out for us! Ella picks him up and carries him around the entire house! He smiles and looks at us like, "Look at my amazing sister! Isn't she grand?!?!?!?!"
His relationship with his Daddy is very special! I love to hear him teach Easton his first Bible verse, John 3:16! They watch Bears games together and play Patty Cake during the commercials!
My favorite time with him is just when he wakes up or right before bedtime! He is so cuddly! He will put his arms around me and pat my back!!!!
So often I think about what God has for him. What is Easton's future going to be? Whatever it is, God has something special for him!!!
We love you Easton Warren Miller!

Being Content Really Shouldn't Be This Hard!
Do you think the Lord gets frustrated with us at times???? I seem to always be struggling with contentedness...ALWAYS struggling!!!
When we lived in Indiana I was so excited to move to Chicago. In fact I talked about it for years before it happened! So we finally move and lo and behold, I have a very hard time because our house had not sold and we would be in the apartment for an even longer time than I thought! I remember thinking how cozy the apartment would be! I had images of the wind blowing through the open windows while we enjoy our pancake breakfasts with classical music playing in the background.
Then came reality!!!!! About the 5th time I had to move a rocking horse, laundry basket, baby tub, and a 5 gallon container to just open the kids closet I think I had had enough!!!
After 2 years in our tiny home the Lord has finally given us the opportunity to move out of the apartment and into a wonderful rental home. We had tried to sell our house to the renter but she decided not to buy. The Lord had given us peace about renting a house even if our home did sell.
I began looking for a house or townhouse to rent. I used to always drive by our favorite park and say I would love to live there but knew we wouldn't be able to find a house in the area. I also was looking for a house with the new windows that I love. Again, I was slapped back into reality and kept on looking. We found a few that were too much and farther away from where we live now. With Alex's job and my teaching we wanted to stay in the area. One day I came home from work and checked the newspaper and found a house in the area. I had not seen a house in our town to rent yet. I called the guy and he said that the house was being looked at right then! We were able to look after they left and really liked it! Here is where God shines: The house is by our park and the owner put in brand new windows the day after we looked at it! Isn't God good!!
Things I learned:
*Alex and I can endure living in a small space and come out of it loving each other STILL!!!
*I realized how little we really need!
*I learned that God has a plan even when we don't!
*God loves us despite our failure to believe it Him!
*God will sell our home when he sees fit!
I have learned, although it is a daily process, to be content at the place I am! I will be content even though we don't own this home. I will be content even though we don't have a dishwasher!! I will be content because God has us exactly where He wants us to be! Who can argue with that??
